Anyone interested in supporting College Possible students and helping young professionals practice their networking skills! This event is open to anyone, regardless of their educational or professional background. You can be currently employed, out of the workforce or retired.
The evening will kick off with food, drinks and networking from 5:30 – 6:15pm. There will be a short program with a special giving opportunity at 6:15pm, and then we’ll continue networking, food and refreshments until 7:30pm.
We’re expecting a diverse group of community members, partners and members of the Twin Cities’ business community. You’ll also have the chance to meet College Possible students and alumni as well as College Possible staff and board members.
You will not be paired directly with anyone at the event. We’re aiming to create authentic networking experiences for students and alumni, so we do not have a 1:1 ratio of guests to students. Instead, we’re creating an environment where students and alumni can practice introducing themselves on their own or with the help of staff members who will be positioned throughout the room. We encourage you to also help with networking by introducing students and alumni to other guests at the event.
College Possible students and alumni will have ribbons on their nametags. You can also look for College Possible staff members to help you make connections.
No matter what educational or career background you have, your presence and support will be beneficial. We’re seeking supportive adults who will be open to asking about our students’ experiences and willing to share their own.
Beginning your conversation with general questions is always a great place to start.
Finding out more about their current career or career aspirations is another idea.
All students will participate in a pre-event networking training. Prior to the event, they also receive a list of all guests that includes their employment information, career field, and Alma Mater.
College Possible is a nonprofit organization that relies on donations to support our mission. All donations from the event will support College Possible programming to help make college possible for more students from low-income backgrounds.

514 Studios is located at 514 North 3rd Street, Ste 101 in Minneapolis — in the North Loop neighborhood, near downtown.
Event parking is available for $3.00 at the Designers Guild Building ramp (317 5th Avenue North, Minneapolis, MN), just one block from 514 Studios. Metered street parking is also available. 514 Studios is easily accessible by public transit. We will send guests directions and detailed parking instructions closer to the event.
