Julie Mancini is executive director of College Possible Oregon. In her role, Julie is responsible for day-to-day management and operational issues, leading strategic organizational development, raising funds, coordinating communications and building relationships with partner organizations in the Portland-metro area.
Julie’s experience is extensive and diverse, both in the non-profit sector, as a business consultant and as an educator. Most recently, she was the executive director of Mercy Corps Action Center in Portland, an international aid organization that works to save lives in the world’s toughest places. She has also served as the executive director of Caldera and Literary Arts. On the private-sector side, she was vice president at a public relations firm in which she was responsible for non-profit clients, and founded a booking agency to represent world-famous literary artists.
Julie has a BA in early childhood education from Boston College, an MA in child development from Tufts University, and an honorary doctorate from the University of Portland for exemplary service and leadership in Oregon’s non-profit community.
