Dick Seesel is the principal of Retailing In Focus, LLC. He was previously a Senior Vice President and Merchandise Manager at Kohl’s Department Stores.
During his 24 years at Kohl’s, Dick managed Women’s Accessories and related businesses while the company grew from 18 stores to a national presence. Previously, Dick worked for Dayton’s Department Stores (Minneapolis) and his family’s retail business.
As a consultant, Dick serves retailer and supplier clients along with investment industry professionals. Speaking engagements include the Wharton School, Marquette University and the Wisconsin Association of College Stores. Dick also teaches Retailing Management to undergraduate business students at the University of Wisconsin-Milwaukee.
Dick graduated from Harvard College (AB 1976, magna cum laude) and received a Master’s degree in marketing from the Kellogg School at Northwestern University (MM 1978).
Dick is active in several Milwaukee-area nonprofits, especially College Possible and University School, where he is the former Board president.
