Thank You for Supporting College Possible Oregon

On February 26, more than 120 supporters, partners and team members joined us at Coopers Hall to celebrate a fantastic 2018 for College Possible. Those gathered were the first to hear two exciting announcements:

  • College Possible Portland will now be known as College Possible OREGON to better reflect the communities we serve. We’ve been working in schools outside of the Portland metro area for a few years now and are proud to have a statewide reach.
  • We’ll also be doubling our cohort size at Reynolds High School and expanding to the Beaverton School District next fall in their highest need school: Aloha High School. We are very excited for this growth and opportunity to work with more students!

The 4th annual community thank you event also included a brief program featuring Herico Aiten, a College Possible student who will be graduating from Portland State University this spring, and her former coach, Briana Falduti, College Possible AmeriCorps alumna and current Ambassador Board member. They shared their stories about how they built their relationship and navigated through the confusing and inequitable higher education system together.

It was an evening full of gratitude and celebration, and a great reminder of how lucky College Possible is to have such a wonderful family of supporters.
