We Say Goodbye to Program Director, Francisco Bueno

Goodbyes are always so hard, but this one feels particularly hard. Francisco Bueno has been with College Possible Portland since the beginning. He grew our programming from serving zero students to now serving 1,500 students with intensive coaching and support – and that was in just five years. To say that he’s been an asset to our community is an understatement.

The impact Francisco has had on countless students, community partners and our whole team here at College Possible is hard to measure. He’s been a steady force, always centering our students and pushing the team to think critically about how we can best serve them. College Possible’s growth in Oregon, while maintaining program excellence, would not have been possible without his leadership.

“My time at College Possible has been incredibly rewarding. I’ve enjoyed building strong relationships with students, staff and partners, and playing a part of so many students’ experiences accessing post-secondary options and persisting toward graduation. I’m looking forward to being able to continue this positive work with kids and families in our community.”

Francisco will be taking over the helm at the Boys & Girls Clubs of Southwest Washington as their new executive director. Before coming to College Possible, Francisco spent many years working on the program team there and is looking forward to going back to the organization he learned so much from early on in his career.

We wish Francisco the best on this new adventure! The Boys & Girls Clubs of Southwest Washington is lucky to have him.
