Shannon Bins is Vice President, Global Commercial Solutions at Ecolab, the global leader in water, hygiene and energy technologies and services that protect people and vital resources. With 2015 sales of $13.5 billion and 47,000 associates, Ecolab delivers comprehensive solutions and on-site service to promote safe food, maintain clean environments, optimize water and energy use and improve operational efficiencies for markets in more than 170 countries around the world.
In her current role, Bins has global responsibility for commercial digital strategies and solutions across several industries including foodservice, hospitality, long-term care, educational facilities and government and commercial buildings. Her leadership encompasses sales and service enablement, customer digital experience, digital innovation, analytics, training and change management.
Prior to Ecolab, Bins was Vice President, Business Systems & Operations at Ingenix, UnitedHealth Group’s health information technology and services company. In this role, she was responsible for customer technology strategies and solutions, as well as operational platforms supporting Sales, Marketing and Finance. Bins also spent 17 years at GMAC ResCap, most recently as Managing Director, Automated Decisioning & Risk Management leading global technology platforms to evaluate and price more than $75 billion in assets annually. She also managed a $10 million software-as-a-service business.
Bins has also served on various educational councils, including school advisory boards, finance committees and capital campaigns. She is very active in her community and serves in several volunteer capacities across numerous organizations. Bins holds bachelor’s degrees in Finance and Economics from the University of St. Thomas and an MBA in Business Administration from the University of St. Thomas.
