Kendra joined College Possible in March 2016 as Senior Director of Strategic Growth. She is responsible for refining, piloting and scaling College Possible’s new strategy to enable significantly more low-income students to attain a college degree.
Kendra has a diverse background spanning both the corporate and nonprofit sectors. Most recently, she spent eight years at General Mills and Target in various brand management, strategy and innovation roles where she identified new growth opportunities and the capabilities required to achieve them. She was also the general manager on a variety of businesses at General Mills where she led cross-functional teams on initiatives to drive top and bottom line growth. Prior to these roles, Kendra worked at the Minnesota Chamber of Commerce where she developed and advocated legislative policy positions and laid the groundwork for two new programs focused on improving the state’s economy and overall quality of life. Kendra has also been involved with several start-up companies.
College Possible’s mission resonates with Kendra because she has a passion for helping people realize their full potential. She also serves with the Jeremiah Program, an organization that improves the lives of low-income single mothers and their children, as a board trustee and committee member, and has held numerous volunteer and internship roles with other nonprofit organizations.
Kendra has a B.A. from Colby College and an MBA from the University of Chicago Booth School of Business. She lives with her husband, Phillip, and two small children, Trevor and Annika. In her free time, she enjoys getting outside as much as possible, running, swimming, cross country skiing and spending time with friends.
