Associate Director of Schools, University of Chicago Laboratory Schools
Carol Rubin is Associate Director of Schools at the University of Chicago Laboratory Schools. Her career has focused on leading and revitalizing government and nonprofit organizations. Past leadership roles include Chief Administrative Officer (CAO) of the Chicago Transit Authority (CTA), the second largest public transit agency in the U.S., as well as CAO of the Chicago Park District, the largest municipal park system in the country. In addition, she served as head of Corporate Strategy for Exelon Corporation, a major electric utility, and as the director of the Child Care Facilities Development Program of the Illinois Facilities Fund, a national nonprofit agency. Ms. Rubin holds a Master of Public Policy degree from the Kennedy School of Government at Harvard University and a Bachelor of Arts degree in History and French Literature, Phi Beta Kappa, from Colgate University.
