Bonnie joined College Possible as Director of Finance and Operations in March 2014. In this role, she partners with the senior leadership team to enhance and further integrate the finance and operation functions and establish best practices to support sound fiscal management. Bonnie also manages relations with the Budget & Oversight Committee of the Board. As a first-generation college graduate, Bonnie is deeply invested in College Possible’s mission of helping more students across the country earn admission to and succeed in college.
Bonnie brings over 20 years of experience in financial leadership roles with both the non-profit and for-profit sectors to College Possible. In her most recent role, as Controller at Southern MN Regional Legal Services, Bonnie was responsible for all finance and accounting functions. She was responsible for oversight of numerous Federal, State, and Local government grants and ensuring a strong environment of internal controls. She has successfully managed financial operations for multi-site organizations, led strategic planning activities, and built large, complex budgets. She has also had previous experience managing information technology, human resources, and office administration.
Originally from Duluth, Bonnie grew up on the east side of St. Paul and currently resides in Little Canada with her twin teenage daughters. When not busy with her daughters’ volleyball schedule, she loves to travel and does volunteer work in many different capacities. Bonnie combined these two passions in recent years by participating in volunteer service programs in Ghana and Romania. As time allows, she also enjoys reading, walks around the beautiful lakes of the Twin Cites, and staying connected with family and friends.
