AmeriCorps announced expanded funding for College Possible today! This partnership will help us create more college graduates this year by pairing 30,000 determined low-income students with dedicated AmeriCorps coaches. We’re thrilled that the Corporation for National and Community Service has recognized the value that AmeriCorps members serving with College Possible offer to communities, and we’re grateful for their continued support. We join forces with AmeriCorps because of their unwavering belief that when college is possible, anything is possible, and together, we will continue to close the degree divide.
“We are thrilled to be working with College Possible to ensure low-income college students succeed and graduate from college,” said Wendy Spencer, CEO of the Corporation for National and Community Service. “Today’s announcement will expand a proven, results-driven curriculum, allowing AmeriCorps members to not only help our young people get to college, but also help them make it through college to graduation, which is critical to a young person’s future success. These AmeriCorps members are an indispensable resource to those individuals they will serve, and I salute them, and the university partners, for their dedication to this important work.”
