Envisioning Life on Campus

During the week of April 9,  College Possible Chicago facilitated visits to Monmouth College, North Central College, the University of Illinois at Chicago (UIC) and an overnight stay at Goshen College in Indiana. Our juniors, many of whom had never spent an extended amount of time on a college campus, were able to envision themselves as college students for the first time. Our seniors who were accepted to these colleges were able to gain additional information to help them make their college decision before the May 1 deadline.

The visits to Monmouth and UIC consisted of an admissions presentation, campus tour and lunch.

North Central and Goshen also included academic fairs during the students’ visit. At North Central, our high schoolers met current students and were able to learn more about the different clubs and extracurricular opportunities offered at the college. At Goshen, our students met professors and learned about the different majors they could pursue.

We are thrilled that our students are considering these colleges, and we are excited to see which students will make these campuses their home.
