College Possible Hits the Road

Putting students on the path to college success quite often means hitting the road with them. During the 2017-18 school year, College Possible Omaha has taken participating high school students on 16 visits to regional campuses.

“More often than not, College Possible is students’ sole resource for finding a college campus aside from Omaha-area schools,” said Sarah Swanigan, Papillion-La Vista High School senior coach.  “While those schools are great options for our students to explore, these visits give them the opportunity to branch out a bit and compare campuses and understand how far away from home they could be.”

“It is a chance to talk to current students, learn more about policies, opportunities and the campus layout. All of these things are important as they can impact a student’s grades, social life and overall well-being during their first year,” adds Gretchen Haislip, Omaha Northwest junior coach.

Visits for College Possible Omaha students this year included:

  • Augustana University
  • College of Saint Mary
