A Year of Memories: Our AmeriCorps Members’ Final Day of Service

Today marked the official end for many of our AmeriCorps members’ terms of service at College Possible Chicago. These 18 idealistic leaders chose to devote a year of their lives toward improving educational inequities in Chicago, helping to make sure that our students, regardless of income, get on a path toward obtaining a college degree. Through their hard work, our juniors saw a 24 percent SAT increase and over 98 percent of our seniors were admitted into four-year colleges and received over $2 million in scholarships.

This fall, our AmeriCorps members will be attending graduate school, law school, beginning their professional careers or returning for a second term at College Possible. We thank them for their service and cannot wait to see what they will accomplish next.
