Laura Schabloske, Executive Director
Laura Schabloske, an Omaha native, received her bachelor’s degree from the University of Nebraska-Lincoln (UNL) and her master’s degree from the University of Nebraska at Omaha (UNO). She sits on the executive committee of Cather Circle, the distinguished female alumnae program at UNL. Schabloske is a member of Omaha Network and Millard Rotary. She served as the Chief Development Officer for Boys & Girls Clubs of the Midlands and as Foundation Director of the Nebraska Children’s Home Society Foundation for the past decade after spending 12 years in the for profit world serving in various executive positions in both the healthcare and Internet space.
Additionally, Schabloske is active with several giving circles and mentors college students. Schabloske has received the Outstanding Young Alumnus Award from UNL, was named one of the Midlands Business Journal’s 40 Under 40, was honored as one of the Ten Outstanding Young Omahan’s (TOYO) by the Omaha Jaycees and was given their Distinguished Service Award. Most recently Schabloske received the Chairwomen award for Cather Circle. She is a graduate of Leadership Omaha, ICAN’s Influence program and the Non-profit of the Midlands Executive Institute.

Bryan Seck, Program Manager
Bryan grew up in Wichita, Kansas and graduated from the University of Kansas with a Bachelor of Arts degree in political science, international relations, and Spanish. After college, he served as an English teacher for the Peace Corps in Kazakhstan from 2004-2006. Bryan received his Masters in Public Administration from New York University’s Wagner School of Public Service in 2009. While at NYU, he studied non-profit management and program measurement and evaluation, taught English as a Second Language, interned at the US State Department, and led alumni activities
For the last three years, he worked as a Senior Associate at ICF International, a research and consulting firm. At ICF, he was a part of a team conducting cross-site evaluations of federal public health programs to understand the impact of evidence-based interventions and using data to improve program performance. However, Bryan’s passion for education access led him to College Possible Omaha as the Program Manager. He looks forward to successfully replicating the College Possible model to enhance college access for Omaha students!
When he is not working, Bryan plays basketball, bikes, and enjoys road trips to visit his family in Chicago, Kansas City, and Oklahoma City. Top
Ashlei Spivey, External Relations and Operations Coordinator
Ashlei Spivey is an Omaha Native. She graduated from Omaha North High School and completed her undergraduate career at Jackson State University with a Bachelor’s in Mass Communications, Spanish and Marketing. She then moved to Texas where she worked in the nonprofit sector for organizations like KIPP TRUTH Academy as a student recruiter, Dallas Children’s Advocacy Center as an education specialist and Quest: Dallas/Collin as lead case manager. She will complete her Master’s Degree in Urban Social Planning from the University of Texas Arlington Summer of 2012. While in Texas, Ashlei, started her own club volleyball program for low income youth and an online lifestyle magazine. She recently moved back to Omaha to be closer to her family.
In her spare time, Ashlei loves to spend time with her younger sister and travel. Top
